89 suspected illegal workers found in June

A total of 89 people have been detained by the Public Security Police Force (PSP) over the past month on suspicion of illegal work in Macau, the police force announced in its regular monthly release. The 89 suspected illegal workers were found during police inspections at a total of 349 locations, including construction sites, private buildings, and commercial and industrial establishments, among others. June’s figure represents a significant year-on-year drop (41.8%) and a 23.9% month-on-month decrease. In total, during the first half of this year, the PSP found about 469 suspected illegal workers, a 5.6% increase from the same period last year.
