Crime | Three arrested for drug dealing and trafficking

The Judiciary Police (PJ) announced yesterday that while busting a drug dealing and trafficking case, it apprehended a Vietnamese couple and a local broker.
The law-enforcement entity has also seized 6.5 grams of methamphetamine and 1.2 grams of powdered amphetamine, the estimated cost of which was was about MOP20,000.
The three suspects are all in their 30s. The local suspect is reportedly jobless and the couple worked as cleaners in a local hotel.
Previous intelligence informed the PJ about alleged drug dealing activities in entertainment venues in Areia Preta. On Monday, the police conducted an investigation in the district and found the alleged local broker that afternoon.
Inspectors were led to his residence in the district, where the methamphetamine and associated goods were seized.
On Monday evening, the police intercepted the female suspect on Rua de João de Araújo. Inspectors seized more methamphetamine and amphetamine powder in her apartment on the same street. Cash amounting to MOP18,800 and HKD22,000 was also found.
Both the local broker and the Vietnamese man tested positive for narcotics. The police believed that the small group has been in operation for more than a month. AL
