Customs seize seven smuggling cases involving concealed goods

Customs authorities intercepted seven smuggling cases from July 12 to 17, involving vehicles and individuals attempting to transport undeclared items across borders. At the Border Gate, officers seized 44.7 kg of unquarantined meat and 12 bottles of Chinese liquor hidden in vehicles. Additionally, attempts to smuggle old electronics were uncovered: a woman concealed 90 electronic items and four old phones in her handbag, while men hid phones in pockets and around their waists. Seven suspects aged 23 to 67 from Macau, Hong Kong, and mainland China face charges under trade laws.
