Customs seizes smuggled frozen chicken feet

The Customs Service (SA) recently seized 500 kilograms of frozen chicken feet, valued at approximately MOP25,000, during a raid on a parallel-trading operation in the northern district. Officers arrested a 52-year-old local man who had hired traders to smuggle the chicken feet from Macau to mainland China. The suspect faces fines under the External Trade Law and has violated the Food Safety Law, as the chicken feet were improperly stored at room temperature instead of being kept frozen. The case has been transferred to the Municipal Affairs Bureau for further investigation and action.
