The city’s top official said the government is refining departmental responsibilities and improving internal management systems to ensure that all operations are implemented in an orderly and effective manner.
He made the remarks at the second working meeting of the leading group on public administration reforms.
According to a statement released by the Government Information Bureau, topics discussed included streamlining departmental structures, reallocating functions, enhancing staffing control, and upgrading information systems.
The Chief Executive emphasized that reforms must be tailored to support the economic and social development goals, while avoiding disruption to essential services.
One major focus is the consolidation of overlapping functions and the establishment of upper limits on institutional scale.
The statement noted that authorities are also working to standardize job responsibilities and explore fair, flexible promotion pathways as part of a broader optimization of staffing structures. LV
