Dementia cases in show younger trend

Caritas Macau has said that the city currently has about 6,000 confirmed dementia cases. The organization noted that as public awareness of dementia grows, more people seek medical advice after noticing symptoms, leading to a trend of younger diagnoses. Its authorities urged residents to monitor family members for significant mood changes, altered habits, or memory loss, emphasizing that early detection and treatment can help slow the progression of symptoms. Caritas held a community outreach event on dementia at the adjacent Flower City Park in Taipa yesterday, aiming to deepen public awareness of the condition.
