Domestic worker arrested for possessing cocaine worth MOP4 million

A 38-year-old Indonesian domestic worker was arrested by the Judiciary Police (PJ) for allegedly receiving drug parcels linked to a transnational trafficking ring. Authorities seized 2,160 grams of cocaine, valued at around MOP4 million, hidden inside 144 cosmetic bottles sent from West Africa. The PJ worked with Hong Kong Customs to uncover the operation. The suspect admitted receiving the parcels but denied involvement in trafficking. The case is now under further investigation by the Public Prosecutions Office.
