Enhancing colleagues’ professional skills – supporting Macau’s diversified economy

As Macau’s tourism and leisure industry continues to recover, Melco goes on to prioritize talent development with quality and professionalism to help the city realize its goal of becoming a diversified world center of leisure and tourism.
Melco adopts a systematic approach to accelerate growth through its Whole Person Development philosophy. Dedicated talent diversification initiatives enable the nurturing of non-gaming and creative talent. Its multitude of related programs provide colleagues with cross-functional exposure into various departments other than one’s own for strong foundation development; exposure to various experiences, projects and challenges; and development opportunities ranging from singular tasks to month-long projects.
Late last month, the 5th Macao Integrated Tourism and Leisure Enterprises Vocational Skills Competition 2023, co-organized by the Labour Affairs Bureau and the Macao Federation of Trade Unions (FAOM), took place at Studio City. Melco continued to support the annual event with a 29-strong team of colleagues participating in specific Vocational Skills Competitions for Gaming & Entertainment, Hotel Services and Gastronomy. Through the opportunity to compete against the industry’s top talent in Macau, Melco’s aim was to enhance colleagues’ vocational skills and professionalism.
The Melco team attained excellent results in the competition’s various categories, fully demonstrating the company’s dedication and efforts made towards colleague talent development. The Melco team’s achievements include:
