Galaxy announces closing of ‘Terrazza’ and Macallan Bar

Galaxy Macau has announced through its official social media channels the closing of its Italian restaurant “Terrazza” and the “Macallan Whisky Bar & Lounge.”

For the time being, the company has not disclosed any plans for the mentioned venues.

In separate posts on Galaxy’s social media platforms, the company announced that, “After years of serving authentic Italian cuisine with passion and pride, Terrazza Italian Restaurant will be closing its doors on July 7,” adding, “To all our valued guests who shared laughter, celebrations, and handcrafted Italian food made with love — Grazie Mille! You’ve transformed every meal into a cherished celebration of La Dolce Vita!”

Terrazza restaurant has earned several accolades in the past few years, with the most recent one being its listing as a “Michelin Selected Restaurant” this year. In 2024, it also received an award from the China Best Champagne List—Hotel Restaurant and was part of the Star Wine List of the Year Asia 2023 with a silver star.

Locally, it was awarded the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) Quality Tourism Services Accreditation Scheme (QTSAS): Service Star Award in 2019, an award attributed to retail merchants participating in the Consumer Council’s Certified Shop Scheme.

Similarly, the same company added, “It’s time to raise a glass to The Macallan Whisky Bar & Lounge, which will be closing its doors for the last time on July 7. To everyone who joined us for happy hours, late-night sing-alongs, and flavorful pours: thank you for bringing the spirit of fun connoisseurship to our beloved bar.”

As Terrazza, the Macallan Bar has also earned several accolades and prizes, including the “Travel + Leisure Tastemakers 2024 – Best Bars in Macau,” Best Luxury Bar in Restaurant –  Continent Winner: Asia, Macau’s Best Bar by Tatler Dining, and the 2019 Dazhong Dianping Customer Review Awards.

Although plans are still to be announced, it is worth noting that the two venues are located side by side on the second floor of the Galaxy Macau integrated resort, with upcoming plans possibly including combining both spaces.
