Gold prices poised to reach new record highs

The ongoing Iran-Israel conflict and global uncertainties have led the Macau Goldsmith Guild to predict continued high demand for gold, with prices potentially reaching new record highs. Lei Cheok Kuan, vice-president of the association, reportedly said that the value of gold in U.S. dollars may rise from USD3,300 to USD4,000 per ounce, and advised investors to proceed with caution. In terms of stock markets, according to public broadcaster TDM, the Macau Regional Economics Research Association noted that Asian markets have not experienced significant declines, indicating signs of adjustment rather than a downward trend.
