The Housing Bureau (IH) launched a public tender yesterday for the lease of five commercial spaces located in public housing buildings in Zone A of the new landfills.

The bureau noted that the tender aims to provide commercial stores in the area so that, when residents of the new public housing buildings move in, they can find commercial facilities to support their daily needs.

The commercial spaces are located on the ground floor of the Tong Chong Building (four spaces) and the Tong Kai Building (one space), and are intended for the operation of activities related to food-and-beverage establishments, general commercial activities, banks, supermarkets, and pharmacies.

Usable areas range from 89.73 to 351.84 square meters. The base price for the tender ranges from MOP5,500 to MOP16,500.

The tender will be conducted in an auction style, with bids to be made in multiples of MOP500.

The deadline for submitting applications is 5:30 p.m. on June 20, 2025. Interested bidders may consult or obtain a copy of the tender file at the IH.

The public auction will take place on July 8, 2025, at 10:30a.m., at the IH Islands branch office. RM
