Gov’t negotiating visa extensions with Guangdong for National Games ticket holders

Pun Weng Kun confirmed that negotiations with Guangdong are underway to extend visas for mainland visitors holding event tickets. The extension would cover the competition day plus one day before and after, allowing visitors to apply for visas by presenting their tickets to mainland authorities. Guangdong also plans to introduce seamless border clearance before the National Games, enhancing travel for sports fans and encouraging overnight stays in Macau. The 15th National and Paralympic Games, hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau, will take place in November and December. Ticket sales begin in August, including offline sales in Macau.
