Two Macau residents from Hong Kong were classified as imported cases of asymptomatic infection after positive nucleic acid test (NAT) results on April 11 upon their arrival in Macau. The first case is a 45-year-old who was been administered three doses of the inactivated Sinovac vaccine in May and June 2021 and March 2022; while the second case is a 34-year-old who was administered with two doses of the mRNA vaccine in August and September 2021. Both denied any history of infection. They took the golden bus that departed at 3 p.m., being in possession of negative result certificates via the NAT test. A total of 82 confirmed Covid-19 cases and 77 cases of asymptomatic infection have been registered in Macau.
232 residents vaccinated in mobile vaccination vehicle
A total of 232 residents were administered with Covid-19 vaccines on April 10 and 11 in the government’s mobile vaccination vehicle, which was parked nearby in the Iao Hon Garden. The mobile vaccination vehicle is aimed at further promoting vaccination amongst community members and providing vaccination services to people in need living nearby. Authorities again appeal to anyone who has not yet been vaccinated to be vaccinated as soon as possible.
