IAM announces open tender for Taipa Market

The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) announced yesterday that a tender is now open for 20 light meal stalls, cultural and creative stalls, and a café in the soon-to-be-renovated Taipa Market. The tender will evaluate bidders based on five criteria: operation strategy, experience and qualifications, daily operating hours, product variety, and payment convenience. Trial operations are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of this year, with a contract period of three years. The stalls will be divided into three groups based on area: 19 light food or cultural stalls with a minimum area of 8.1 square meters will have a monthly rent of 486 patacas, while the largest stall at 30.9 square meters will rent for MOP1,854. The café, with an area of 34 square meters, will have a monthly rent of MOP2,040. Interested parties can submit their bidding proposals until 1 p.m. on May 23.
