Oscar-winning French actress Juliette Binoche is set to join the talent ambassadors for the upcoming 4th International Film Festival & Awards – Macao, (IFFAM), the organizing committee announced in a statement.
Binoche joins Hong Kong star Carina Lau and K-pop performer and actor Kim Junmyeon to grace the annual event which will run from December 5 to 10.
She will be present in a range of activities under the IFFAM program on December 9 and 10, including the premiere of The Truth, the session “In Conversation with Juliette Binoche” and the awards ceremony in the evening of December 10.
Meanwhile, Special Presentations will screen The Truth, a film directed by celebrated Japanese film director Hirokazu Kore-eda.
“IFFAM’s main mission is to showcase the best of world cinema and there is nobody more representative of what that means than Juliette Binoche,” said Mike Goodridge, artistic director of IFFAM.
“She is a truly global actress, one of the world’s finest, and continues to push herself in exciting new directions with every film choice. We can’t wait to welcome her to IFFAM,” he added.
The French artist has starred in more than 60 English and French films with extraordinary achievements.
Binoche is the first actress to win the European “Triple Crown”, gaining under her belt three best actress awards at the Berlin, Cannes and Venice film festivals respectively. LV
