Local gymnasts representing the Gymnastics Club Macau (GCM) achieved strong results at the Hong Kong Invitational Tournament 2026, held last weekend.
According to a statement from the club, this was the second consecutive year the club has participated in the event. This year, the club sent a delegation of 41 gymnasts to compete in the neighboring region.
The tournament brought together athletes from Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwan, and Macau, serving as a platform for young gymnasts to gain competitive experience and exposure.
Among the notable results, Fabio Kapuscinski secured two second-place finishes in the boys’ 7–9 age category (Floor and Vault), while Matilda Rosário placed first and third in the girls’ 7–9 category (Floor and Vault).
Other highlights included Silke Dias and Charlotte Law, who achieved top placements in Vault (girls 7–9) and Floor (girls 10–13), respectively. Additional podium finishes were recorded by Natalie Ng-Quinn (second place, Vault, OPEN girls) and Gonçalo Fernandes (second place, Vault, OPEN boys). Daniela Tian, Iris Lu, and Mia Turay also earned third-place finishes in their respective events.
The club said the competition underscored teamwork, resilience, and individual development among participating athletes. Coaches noted improvements in routine execution, competitive maturity, and performance under pressure.
“This event represents another important step in our club’s development abroad,” the coaching team said, adding that each competition helps strengthen athletes’ confidence and contributes to Macau’s growing presence in regional gymnastics.
