Travelers to and from Macau can now enjoy a more convenient foreign currency exchange experience, as the city’s first cardless currency exchange machine is now operational at the airport’s departure terminal, announced Banco Delta Asia in a statement.
The new machine, installed by Delta Asia Bank, allows residents and visitors to exchange Macau patacas for Japanese yen, Singaporean dollars, Thai baht, and Chinese RMB without the need for a bank card. Users can simply deposit pataca banknotes, select the desired non-local currency, and enter their personal information to receive the corresponding cash.
Delta Asia Financial Group chief executive officer Au Lai-Chong expressed her delight in being the first bank in Macau to offer this innovative service, stating that it will provide a more efficient and user-friendly foreign currency exchange experience for both locals and travelers. The bank’s statement highlighted the machine’s 24-hour availability, making it a convenient option for those who need to exchange currency before their flights.
The currency exchange machine is located on the departure floor of the Macau International Airport, offering a solution for travelers who need to convert their patacas into other currencies. Victoria Chan
