Macau proposes urgent ban on six narcotics, seven etomidate-like substances

A draft bill will be submitted to the Legislative Assembly for urgent approval, proposing that six internationally scheduled narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances identified by the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs in 2025 – but not yet covered by Macau’s Drug Prohibition Law – be added to the controlled substances list, while also introducing controls on seven non-internationally listed etomidate analogues, all of which have no recognized medical applications.
