Mainland man arrested for in-flight theft

A mainland Chinese man was arrested for stealing passengers’ belongings during a flight from Singapore to Macau, causing losses totaling MOP23,000. After preliminary investigations, the suspect was indicted for qualified theft and placed in preventive detention to prevent escape, disturbance of public order and continuation of criminal activity. He is now awaiting trial and may face a prison sentence of up to five years.
