Man arrested for drunk driving after colliding with bus

A local man in his 60s was arrested  last week for drunk driving after colliding with a bus on Avenida 1 de Maio. When police officers arrived at the scene to process the incident, they detected the odor of alcohol on the driver of the private vehicle, who reported his occupation as a driver. A breathalyzer test revealed that his blood alcohol concentration was 1.66 grams per liter, leading to his arrest on suspicion of drunk driving. During questioning, he admitted that he had consumed alcohol earlier while dining in the northern district before driving home, during which the accident occurred.
