MGM marks 15 years of combining art and racing

MGM China Holdings Limited is marking the 15th anniversary of its initiative to integrate artistic projects with the Macau Grand Prix.

The program has supported SK Support riders whose helmets, suits, and motorcycles are designed by artists with disabilities from Macau and abroad, merging sporting events with creative expression.

This year, Finnish rider Erno Kostamo and Australian rider David Johnson will participate in the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix with gear featuring artwork by these artists.

MGM also invited members of the Fuhong Society of Macau and the Macau IC2 Association to visit the paddock and interact with the riders.

In collaboration with the Macau Grand Prix Museum, MGM has launched the “Art of Racing” Helmet Model Artworks and Riders’ Collection Exhibition.
The exhibition, supported by local organizations and government bureaus, will run until January 5, 2026.

It includes three sections: community-created helmet artworks, memorabilia from professional riders including Davey Todd and Erno Kostamo, and interactive displays such as a lion dance-themed helmet installation.
Hubert Wang, president and chief operating officer of MGM China Holdings Limited, said, “MGM is committed to connecting the world through art and promoting inclusion through cross-sector collaboration, especially the integration of sports and the arts. […] This year, we are proud to present the ‘Art of Racing’ Helmet Model Artworks and Riders’ Collection Exhibition, showcasing a collection of works that carry powerful stories and highlighting the beauty of where sports and art integrate, which aims to extend the message of inclusion to the world.”
MGM also continues its sponsorship of Phantom Global Racing in the Macau GT Cup – FIA GT World Cup.
