The MGM Macau Tennis Masters, at Macau Forum from Dec. 24 to 25, promises to be a memorable experience as it splits six players into two groups, with each led by a tennis legend.

The lineup comprises Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) players Casper Ruud, Lorenzo Musetti, Shang Juncheng (Jerry), Andrey Rublev; as well as Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) players Wang Xinyu and Karolina Muchova.

Leading the two teams are Li Na and Michael Chang, one of the first instances in which a female captain will face a male captain.

Matches will consist of best-of-three tiebreak sets and the final set will consist of a masters tiebreak where players need to win with ten or more points by an advantage of two points.

The first day of matches will feature one mixed doubles and two men’s singles matches, while the second day will feature a women’s singles and two men’s singles matches.

“The event continues to bring forth the synergy between sports and tourism to create an exclusive sports event brand for Macau,” president and executive director of MGM China Holdings Limited, Kenneth Feng, said.
