The 500,000th visitor from South Korea in 2014 arrived at the Macau International Airport on Wednesday. Moon Yang-Seob said that this was the first time he had travelled to Macau with his wife, and that it was the first trip for his eight-month-old son. He said that compared to Hong Kong, which is a very prosperous and complicated city, Macau is very calm, with a culture that has integrated the East and the West. Mr Moon also said that he wants to try the famous Portuguese egg tarts in Macau. The Moon family was presented souvenirs including two round-trip tickets from Korea to Macau, two nights of hotel accommodation along with over MOP3,000 cash coupons.
The director of the Macau Government Tourist Office, Helena de Senna Fernandes, welcomed the lucky visitor at the airport. She said that South Korea is the first international market to reach half a million visitor arrivals.
