Temperature expected to hit 36 degrees

The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau has issued an orange-level heat alert, forecasting extreme heat for Macau today, with temperatures in some areas expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius or higher. Residents are advised to avoid outdoor activities, stay hydrated, and guard against heatstroke. Yesterday, temperatures hit 35 degrees citywide, with the Outer Harbor recording a peak of 36.3 degrees. Rain and stronger winds are expected by early next week, coinciding with a tropical depression near the Philippines that may develop into Typhoon Wipha, the year’s sixth typhoon.
