UM achieves top 0.1% global ranking in three fields

The University of Macau (UM) is now ranked in the top 0.1% worldwide in engineering, computer science, and pharmacology & toxicology, up from the previous top 1%, according to Essential Science Indicators (ESI). The university excels in AI, microelectronics, and Chinese medicine, with global rankings of 101st in computer science and 33rd in pharmacology, per the 2024–2025 U.S. News & World Report.
