Unemployment remains unchanged

The unemployment rate for the three months leading to November 2015 remained stable at 1.9 percent, signaling a marginal decrease of 100 from the previous three-month period, August-October.
The number of unemployed persons amounted to 7,400 in the September-November period, increasing by 0.2 percentage points when compared to the September-November period in 2014.
The number of entrants into the labor force searching for their first job accounted for 11.7 percent of the total number of unemployed persons – also down by 0.2 percentage points.
Meanwhile, the underemployment rate was up by 0.1 percentage points, standing at a total of 0.6 percent.
Total overall employment in the region fell by 1,100 persons from the August-­October period to 393,400, out of the 400,900 individuals that constitute the total labor force.
Analyzed by industry, employment in “Gaming & Junket Activities” saw a slight decrease, whereas “Hotels & Similar Activities” registered an increase.
The labor force participation rate for the September-November period was down by 1.2 percentage points compared to the same period a year ago.
