Macau’s first baby of the new year was delivered in the early hours of Friday 1 Jan 2016 at 1:49 a.m in Conde de S. Januario. The baby girl weighed in at seven pounds.
Another baby girl was born at 9:37 a.m on New Year’s Day at Kiang Wu Hospital weighing six pounds. The baby’s father hopes that his newborn grows up healthy and become a teacher in the future.
Both babies were born earlier than the expected delivery date.
Deputy Director of Health Bureau, Kuok Cheon U, visited the two babies at both hospitals and sent the families his best wishes.
