Vocational training participation drops in 2024

A total of 67 institutions offered vocational training in 2024, employing 1,885 staff, including 1,138 teachers, according to the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC). The number of courses dropped to 1,777, with 76,385 participants, a 21.8% decline from the previous year, mainly due to the conclusion of pandemic-related programs. Public course enrolment fell by 30.6%, while corporate training dipped 12.3%. Business & Administration and Health courses remained the most popular fields, representing nearly 37% of all trainees. Despite the overall decrease, the number of institutions and teaching staff slightly increased compared to the previous year.
