Water pipe repair work on Rua de Afonso de Albuquerque using ‘inner lining’ technology

Macao Water will use “inner lining” technology to repair water pipes on Rua de Afonso de Albuquerque from today until December 5. This technique involves creating a new pipe lining inside the existing pipe, requiring only an 8-meter excavation in parking areas instead of replacing the whole pipe. It will not affect main traffic flow and has shortened the construction time from 22 to 12 days. To help the work, some meter parking spaces on Rua do General Galhardo and certain parking and loading/unloading bays on Rua de Afonso de Albuquerque will be temporarily closed.
