Well Link Bank launches euro remittance service for students in Portugal

Banco Well Link, S.A. (WLB) has launched a dedicated euro remittance service for Macau families supporting students in Portugal and other Eurozone countries.
The service offers preferential conditions for eligible clients, aiming to reduce the cost of sending euros from Macau to Portugal and other countries within the Single European Payments Area (SEPA). Funds can be used to cover students’ living expenses and tuition fees.
The initiative forms part of WLB’s expanding euro banking services, which have included euro time deposits since early 2026.
The service is the first project launched under a memorandum of understanding signed by WLB and Novo Banco, S.A. in April 2026. Novo Banco, WLB’s traditional correspondent bank for euro payments, said the initiative would strengthen financial links between Macau and Portugal.
The two banks may also provide banking referrals, subject to applicable laws, regulations, customer consent and internal procedures.
