Where Asia’s Best Bars Meet in Macau

Bar Patuá is where every visit becomes a vibrant tale. Inspired by journeys, cultural encounters and unexpected discoveries, the bar invites guests this July to uncover the hidden narratives behind every pour, welcoming some of Asia’s most celebrated mixologists for two exclusive guest shifts that transform Macau into a crossroads of flavors and cultures.

On July 27, “Formosa Medley” unites four of Taiwan’s leading mixologists — each helming a bar ranked on Asia’s 50 Best Bars. Inspired by the Portuguese sailors who named Taiwan Ilha Formosa — “Beautiful Island” — the evening brings together Summer Chen of Vender, Mars Chang of To Infinity and Beyond, Nono Yu of The Han-Jia Pairing Dinner and Juliette Lai of MALTAIL. From Southeast Asian spices and scientific mixology to Tainan’s warm hospitality and innovative whisky expressions, each cocktail offers a distinctive taste of Taiwan’s character and creativity.

On July 29, Byungjin Lim and Yeonghwi Yun, founders and mixologists of Seoul’s acclaimed Bar Cham, ranked on Asia’s 50 Best Bars, will present signature creations crafted with Nikka whisky and traditional Korean spirits. Inspired by regional ingredients and collective flavor memories, bridging heritage and modernity while paying tribute to Korea’s shared flavor memories.

Both events promise not just exceptional cocktails, but immersive evenings where cultural narratives and creative souls intertwine.
