The Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) is organizing a youth consultative group, with one of the key criteria for enrollment being a strong recognition of the core values of patriotism and love for Macau.
According to a DSEDJ statement earlier this week, the group is in line with the local government’s policy direction of “Enhancing Social Participation and Integration into Nation’s Development” outlined in the “Macao Youth Policy (2021-2030)”, aiming to strengthen the voices of young people and to enhance positive interactions between youth and the government.
The bureau emphasized that the group will serve as a platform for local youth to express their views and suggestions on various topics, including education, employment, entrepreneurship, homeownership, self-development, and youth-related policies and measures from the government.
Additionally, it will facilitate youth participation in the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and international affairs, allowing young people to contribute actively to important discussions.
The statement noted that the criteria for joining the group include local youth aged 18 to 30 who demonstrate a “strong commitment to the core values of loving the nation and loving Macau.” Staff Reporter
