A male construction worker died yesterday following a fall from a height of about 10 meters at the construction site of the Grand Lisboa Palace, TDM reported. The accident occurred around 4 p.m. yesterday and its exact causes are reportedly under police investigation. The Fire Services transported the victim, identified as a nonresident worker, to the public hospital, where he passed away a few minutes after arrival.

OM hosts free concert next month

The Macao Orchestra (OM) is presenting a free admission concert “When Music Speaks” on July 8 at 8 p.m. at the Dom Pedro V Theatre, as part of the concert series “Music for All.” Lü Jia, OM’s music director and principal conductor, will perform excerpts of pieces by Mozart and Mendelssohn including Serenade No. 10 in B-flat Major and String Octet in E-flat Major respectively.  The maestro will be sharing his conducting experiences, allowing the audience to have a better understanding of orchestras and classical music from different perspectives.
