Two shops have been found selling counterfeit branded clothing, with two shopkeepers and a staff member apprehended on Aug. 30, Macao Customs has announced in a statement. Earlier, Customs inspectors had discovered inexpensive branded clothing with rough finishing in a shop in Praia Grande District. Further investigations led Customs to a shop in the Pedro do Nolasco District. Inspectors suspected both shops of selling counterfeit products. On the day of the operation, inspectors found and seized 42 allegedly counterfeit clothing products, where the original products would have been valued at about MOP520,000. Copyright owners confirmed some of the products were counterfeit.
