Dealer, gambler arrested for HKD1.76m in casino fraud

A 25-year-old man and a 38-year-old mainland gambler have been referred to the Public Prosecutions Office for allegedly defrauding a Cotai casino of approximately HKD1.76 million by placing bets after baccarat results were revealed. According to the Judiciary Police, the dealer joined the casino in 2023 and resigned on June 7. Between May 25 and June 7, the pair allegedly colluded in at least seven cheating incidents. Both were arrested last Thursday, admitting to splitting and losing all the illicit gains.
