Gov’t pushes for casino operators to enrich maritime travel offerings

The government is calling for increased collaboration between casino operators and companies in order to promote maritime tourism.  The director of the Marine and Water Bureau, Susana Wong, highlighted that gaming companies are currently engaged in various projects with maritime travel companies, resulting in an expansion of routes, as well as more diverse forms of collaboration. Wong explained that these partnerships mainly revolve around two annual campaigns in the city: the Macao International Fireworks Display Contest, which has been running for 31 years, and the Light Up Macao initiative, launched in 2015.
