Public Works Secretary confident about new pump station

On the sidelines of yesterday’s opening ceremony of Mong-ha Post Office, the Secretary for Transport and Public Works, Raimundo do Rosário, expressed confidence about the Inner Harbour South Pumping Station’s capabilities of easing flooding in the district. When asked for comments on an earlier Audit Commission Report that criticized flaws in the Inner Harbour North Pumping Station, he declined to comment, but said the project was not administered by his bureau. Public works departments handled their jobs well, he said, but he would not comment on jobs conducted by other departments.
