Luís Gomes, department head for non-tertiary education at the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), has been appointed as a vice director of sports, the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture announced in yesterday’s Official Gazette. The appointment will begin today for a year. Gomes holds a master’s degree in Sports Education from the University of Macau. He has been a member of the Macau Karate Representative Team and won silver medals in the 2005 East Asian Games and the 2006 Lusophonia Games. The Chief Executive has also extended the appointment of the vice commissioner of corruption.
