Elevators to be added to Ocean Gardens pedestrian bridge
To improve accessibility and pedestrian facilities, the Public Works Bureau has opened a tender to improve the pedestrian overpass by adding elevators on both sides. The project aims to upgrade the original pedestrian overpass between Ocean Tower and Cherry Building. In addition to installing the new elevators, the project includes modifications to the roof to provide better coverage, improve residents’ convenience when traveling, and create a barrier-free, safe, pedestrian-and-vehicle-separated walking environment. The project is expected to take 230 working days to complete and will cost between MOP9.98 million and MOP13 million, according to the bids received in the tender.
