Galaxy Macau sets Guinness World Record with table tennis art installation

Galaxy Macau has earned a Guinness World Records title for the largest display of colored table tennis balls with a large-scale art installation celebrating table tennis ahead of next month’s 15th National Games, hosted in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The installation, composed of 7,000 multi-colored ping-pong balls, depicts a high-energy rally between two athletes, blending sport and art.

Located at the “Artistry of Table Tennis – Collectables & Art Exhibition” in Galaxy Macau’s East Square, the piece was assembled by 15 GEG team members and verified by Guinness adjudicators and Macau Sports and Olympic Committee officials.

Buddy Lam, GEG director of Corporate Affairs, said the achievement reflects the company’s commitment to promoting sports, particularly table tennis, and highlights Galaxy Arena as a key venue for major events.

The exhibition also features over 40 historic rackets, showcasing the sport’s evolution
