Galaxy honors nearly 10,000 staff, marks Galaxy Macau 15th anniversary with world record

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) held its “Long Service Award Ceremony” and “Galaxy Macau 15th Anniversary Celebration” at the Galaxy Auditorium of the Galaxy International Convention Center (GICC), recognizing long-serving employees and marking a milestone for its integrated resort operations.

Under the theme “One Team, One Goal, Together We Glow,” the event honored more than 9,500 team members with 10 or more years of service, representing nearly half of GEG’s workforce. The ceremony also highlighted the 15th anniversary of Galaxy Macau integrated resort.

To commemorate the occasion, GEG organized a Guinness World Records attempt titled “Together We Build,” where 3,888 team members collaborated over a 24-hour period to create a large bottle cap mosaic. The effort set a new world record for the “Most Contributions to a Bottle Cap Mosaic in 24 Hours,” with the official certificate presented during the ceremony.

GEG chairman Francis Lui expressed appreciation to employees, stakeholders, and the government for their support. He said the high proportion of long-serving staff reflected strong employee commitment and organizational cohesion, adding that talent development and training remain key priorities for the company.

Lui also noted that Galaxy Macau has received multiple international recognitions, including being named the “Integrated Resort with the Most Forbes Five-Star Hotels in the World” for consecutive years. He said the group has hosted more than 1,000 entertainment, sports, cultural, and MICE events since 2023, contributing to Macau’s positioning as a “World Center of Tourism and Leisure.”

The record attempt marked the fourth Guinness World Records title achieved by GEG and its properties. The event concluded with anniversary celebrations, including a cake-cutting ceremony and staff appreciation activities held across the resort’s back-of-house areas.
