Global timber forum returns to Macau this month

Macau will host the Global Legal and Sustainable Timber Forum (GLSTF) for the third consecutive year on September 23-24 at MGM COTAI. The annual timber industry event has become a key platform for promoting sustainable forestry and legal timber supply chains globally.
This year’s forum, themed “From Forest to Home – An International Dialogue on Emerging Consumer Trends and Supply Chain Innovation,” will include a main session and four specialized sub-forums. Topics will cover timber legality, blockchain-based traceability, green finance, and other key industry issues.
During the main and sub-forums, simultaneous interpretation will be available in multiple languages, including Chinese, English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese, according to the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO).
Alongside the forum, a sustainable wood industry exhibition will showcase products from over 30 exhibitors from countries including Germany, Brazil, Indonesia, Japan, and Macau. Business matchmaking and tech cooperation opportunities will also be available.
Organizers expect 700 to 800 participants from industry, government, and research sectors. GLSTF 2025 is co-hosted by ITTO and Macau’s Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), and organized by the Global Green Supply Chains Initiative (GGSC) Secretariat. NS
