Hong Kong customs seize MOP8.5 million in suspected smuggled goods
Hong Kong customs seized suspected smuggled goods worth about HKD8.5 million from two river vessels bound for Macau on Aug. 19 and 20. The goods included suspected pharmaceutical products, cosmetic injections, cigars and Chinese herbal medicines. The vessels were inspected following intelligence analysis and risk assessments. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities said further arrests have not been ruled out.
