Hot weather advisory remains in effect as temperatures hit 36.2 degrees

Macau remained under a yellow hot weather alert yesterday, with the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal weather station recording 36.2 degrees Celsius at noon. The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau said the hot weather was caused by a southwest airflow, with temperatures across many areas reaching 33 degrees or above. Looking ahead, a broad low-pressure trough is expected to affect the northern South China Sea from the early to middle of this week, bringing more showers and thunderstorms to Macau from Tuesday.
