IAM bans poultry imports from UK bird flu zones

The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has suspended import applications for poultry and related products from Breckland in Norfolk, England, and Aberdeenshire, Scotland, following outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza. Importers in Macau have been notified, and the bureau stressed that it will continue enforcing strict inspection and quarantine measures at entry points. These actions aim to ensure the safety of fresh and live food products sold in the local market.
