Macau endures prolonged heatwave, showers expected Thursday

Macau continues to face scorching heat, with temperatures surpassing 32 degrees Celcius across most weather stations by 2 p.m. Saturday. The highest reading was 35.6 degrees at the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, followed by 34.2 degrees at Mount Fortress. The yellow hot weather alert remains in effect. The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau warns the heatwave will persist through Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to begin Thursday.
