Domestic violence guidelines for children now available in English

The Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) has announced that the revised guidelines for handling cases of suspected domestic violence against children, finalized in March, are now available in Chinese, Portuguese and English on the bureau’s website. Additionally, the bureau previously organized a “Basic Training Course on Handling Suspected Child Domestic Violence Cases” to familiarize frontline workers from various agencies with the guidelines. The course covered collaboration procedures, assessment and analysis tools, and key intervention points, attracting about 600 participants from the police, medical, education, psychological counseling, and frontline social work sectors.
