MGM celebrates 10 years of supporting local SMEs

Marking a decade of its SME program, MGM hosted its 13th SME Business Matching Session at MGM Macau, highlighting its ongoing support for local enterprise development. The event drew 80 SMEs, over half from the tech sector, and included participants from the Macao Young Entrepreneur Incubation Centre and companies certified under the Economic and Technological Development Bureau’s Technology Company Certification Program.
Kenneth Feng, MGM China President, said the company has introduced over 2,000 new suppliers in the past decade, with SME procurement now exceeding 35% of total procurement, up from 18% in 2016.
MGM also advanced initiatives in food safety and tech innovation, including partnerships to provide HACCP certification for local SMEs and a multimillion-dollar agreement with Shiji (Macau) for a next-generation cloud-based hotel management system.
Through collaboration with local and Greater Bay Area partners, MGM has helped SMEs expand market reach, enhance operational efficiency, and adopt innovative practices, reinforcing its role in fostering Macau’s economic diversification and sustainable growth.
