MGM Promotes Responsible Gaming and Financial Literacy Across Schools and Communities

The MGM Financial Education School Tour 2026 officially kicks off with a public performance.

To support Macau’s vision of fostering a healthy, sustainable, and future-ready society, MGM continues to advance responsible gaming and financial literacy education through innovative youth and community engagement initiatives. MGM has officially launched the MGM Financial Education School Tour 2026 and co-organized the Responsible Gaming Carnival 2026, extending educational outreach from schools to families and the wider community.

Organized by MGM, under the guidance of the Education and Youth Development Bureau and co-organized by the Macau Responsible Gaming Education and Promotion Association, the MGM Financial Education School Tour 2026 officially kicked off with a public performance at MGM COTAI earlier. Marking the fourth edition of the annual program, the tour has grown into one of Macau’s well-recognized financial literacy education initiatives since its launch in 2023. Over the past three years, it has staged nearly 70 performances at local primary and secondary schools, reaching more than 12,000 students.

Through interactive theater, this year’s tour brings financial education to life for students. Using relatable scenarios involving blind-box purchases, in-game spending, and trend-driven consumption, the performance encourages audiences to distinguish between wants and needs, develop responsible spending habits, while reinforcing values such as responsibility, self-discipline, and critical thinking.

The carnival is held at MGM Cotai and drew more than 1,500 participants.

Extending its responsible gaming and financial literacy efforts beyond schools, MGM partnered with the Macao New Chinese Youth Association for the fourth consecutive year to organize the Responsible Gaming Carnival. Sponsored by the Social Welfare Bureau and co-organized by the Macau Responsible Gaming Education and Promotion Association, the carnival was held at MGM COTAI and drew more than 1,500 participants. Through a series of interactive game booths, quizzes, and parent-child activities centered on responsible gaming, healthy financial management, and risk awareness, the carnival provided families with a platform to learn and foster positive values together.

The two initiatives reflect MGM’s ongoing efforts to promote responsible gaming and financial literacy across society.  Looking ahead, the Company will further expand its outreach through innovative educational programs and cross-sector collaboration, empowering young people and families with the knowledge and skills to make informed, responsible choices for the future.

The Carnival a series of interactive activities for parents and children to learn and foster positive values together.
