Philippine consulate’s Deapera concludes duty

The Philippine Consulate General Lilybeth Deapera has concluded her tour of duty in the SAR. Deapera was head of post for six years until January 15. “Consul General Deapera made the welfare of the Filipinos in Macau her top priority,” the statement from the consulate read. In September 2016, after a series of dialogues with the Filipino community, the consulate provided regular services from Sunday to Thursday every week to accommodate clients whose days off fall on a Sunday.

OM to present Valentine’s Day concert

The Macao Orchestra (OM) will present the “Valentine’s Day Concert – Love in Spring” at 8 p.m. on February 26 at the Macao Cultural Centre Grand Auditorium. The concert will be conducted by Jing Huan, Principal Conductor of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, who will join with the OM and young violinist Mengla Huang in presenting Korngold’s famous Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35.
